Marc Jacobs AW14

The Marc Jacobs AW14 had a very uniformed eerie vibe to it, I felt like the use of the chopped bob on all the models looked almost mannequin like, and the bleached brows added to that effect.
Francois Nars, who was makeup designer for the show said  "The makeup look was really inspired by the collection, which is very ‘matte,’" said legendary makeup artist François Nars backstage. “There's nothing too silky and I wanted that to translate to the makeup. The models look like mannequins.”

The face is very matte and was dusted with NARS loose powder and peach tones of NARS blush. It also looks like a contour has been added to the top of the cheek to give a severe swooping effect.

The eyebrows on this look have been bleached which give the eyes a serious look and take away expression from the face, adding the the mannequin qualities of the look.
For the eyes alabaster Andromeda Dual-Intensity eyeshadow, sheer white shimmer Pandora duo eyeshadow, sugared cocoa Kalahari Duo eyeshadow and matte brown Sophia single eyeshadow were used to create the lighter lid, with a statement line in the crease. It opens out the eye giving the illusion they are bigger.

“The lips have a touch of frosted metallic silver,” said Nars. This was done using nude Striptease Lipgloss and metallic champagne Dione dual intensity eyeshadow. I like the slight shimmer to the lips as it slightly pops against the rest of the face, which is quite serious.
